Why Natalie? |
Before going into private practice, Super Lawyers Rising Star selectee Natalie Virden gained valuable experience as a legal extern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she worked on cases arising under Title VII, and for Arizona Court of Appeals Judge Samuel A. Thumma.
Natalie earned her law degree at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she volunteered with the Iowa Legal Aid Pro Se Divorce Clinic and worked in the University of Iowa College of Law Legal Clinic, handling both employment law matters and various estate planning services. She also served as the Executive Officer for the Graduate and Professional Student Government, where she advocated on behalf of the University’s nearly 10,000 graduate and professional students in meetings with administrators and the Board of Regents.
During law school Natalie received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in several areas, including Federal Courts, Professional Responsibility, Constitutional Law II, and Criminal Procedure.
